The quality assurance of buying Frostfire yet again proves right in these lights exceeding expectations in every way. The solar panel is large, in fact it's the largest I've seen for any Frostfire light, measuring almost sixty square inches so I'm absolutely sure that even in winter these will work just fine. The cabling is thick heavy duty wire, with firm screw fix fittings, you have the option of walk mounting the panel or staking it so you can maximise the light it gets. The LED lights in the spotlights are very bright and threw light 40' in a test this evening. Not enough to read by, but enough to see by at that distance. The lenses inside the lights are faceted to maximise light magnification and the whole unit is thoroughly sealed so I'm sure they will be thoroughly waterproof. Previous Frostfire lights I've bought have lasted so far for three years, and have worked even on dark winter evenings. The casings are thick heavy duty plastic, again, I'm sure they will stay glossy and shiny. Very impressed.

I have several Frostfire solar lights and the thing I'm noticing most about them is the quality over others I have. The build quality is far better.

This one has a very large solar panel - which is fantastic - and thick wires that connect it to two spot lights. The fact that the solar panel is larger and separate from the lights is great because it opens up the possibilities of where I can position the them - even in shade. My other lights have solar panels built in, so you're restricted to leaving them in direct sunlight.

Very pleased with these lights. The post lights look great down the garden path and the spot lights light up a huge tree in the garden, limited sunshine st this time of year but they stay lit until dawn

This set of lights comes boxed with spikes for the lights (the manual describes a spike for the solar panel but there wasn't one in my sample possibly a packing error but noted for disclosure reasons) A base to wall mount the solar panel and plugs/screws (4 in total) cable is 3 metres from panel to light and 2 metres approx. between them should be long enough for most placements in the garden.

Starting on the solar panel this is much more meaty than most I've looked at glass front solid thick (almost Bakelite) on the case, nice to see some quality turning up in the panel. Both lights are mostly plastic but with a secure fit on the spikes with hand tightened screws to adjust the angle of the lights if you want to wall mount them instead there are two screw holes provided (again with plugs and screws) For testing I charge up the panel in the afternoon both lights pointed towards the end of the garden and I could see that clearly (about 50 feet or so) giving a reasonable idea on the range. Lights have a good output and are "whiter" in appearance. Hard to comment on endurance only extended testing will reveal more but even with a modest charge the lights have been going for 6 hours in darkness a full days charge should last a night. Stand out part of the design for me is the "ball joint" on the panel strong but also allows you to quickly change the position and angle.

Positioning the panel is fairly important though try to avoid dark areas though you don't need full sunlight it will help. Battery can be replaced by removing a back section on the panel which is a nice feature to have. Not many complaints here (bar missing panel spike) Quality is good all round including the cable (quite thick) as you'd expect fully dust/weather sealed only potential downside is if you require motion sensor lights (these are just on at night you can turn them off with a switch on the panel) No option to adjust output either which is a potential area for improvement though a minor one. A solid set though a 4.5/5 for me
